My Boundaries:
- Antisemitic - you don’t get to decide what this is, there is a set of parameters and guidelines; ask if you really want to know or just don’t be antisemitic by trying to re-define history and lived experiences. Alternate title: Judenhass or “Jew Hate.”
- Transphobic and Intersexphobic - trans+ people are fully aware you are not “scared” of them. But you do have a strong aversion that turns into an obsession of hate aka TRANSMISIA.
- Racist - this is self-explanatory and includes all sorts of hate like Asian Hate, Black Hate, Anti-Romani Hate, Indigenous or Native American Hate. You get the picture.
- Misogyny and/or Misogynoir - women are not the only victims of this hate, but they are the main ones, including Black women with misogynoir.
- Ageism - it is a privilege to age, full stop. We all age.
- Ableism - disability doesn’t make a person dumb” or dead. We will all end up disabled one day.
- Classism - people are just trying to survive, dumping on impoverished people is not allowed. Everyone you know is one paycheck, one not so great investment, one health event away from poverty.
Let’s leave all the ists, isms, and phobias out of this space, shall we. That’s not a request either, there is no question mark in the structure of the previous sentence.
I am fully aware of micro-aggressions. I am aware that most people who act out in these undesirable behaviors are attention-seeking and never outgrew junior high, whether it be in social skills, politics, economics, or concepts around physical or psychological science.
I can read people from 10 miles away, even through a screen. You do not have permission in this space to wield your perceived power of perpetual ignorance.
Finally, if you don’t like what I have to write or what I have to say IN MY SPACE, keep on scrolling. It means you are NOT my target audience and yes, you guessed it, I like to live in a bigot-free bubble.
You can build your own boundaries by using this resource that I wrote. Just right click on this line and download the images as a png and print out our use in a digital program.
